What a wedding caterer must get right for a Muslim wedding

Answering "yes, halal" without being able to name the supplier. For a family that cares, an unverifiable claim is the same as a no.

The requirements

Specific and checkable. Take this list to any wedding caterer in your city.

  • Halal meat with a verifiable supplier — ask which supplier, not whether
  • No alcohol anywhere in the service, including in the cooking and the desserts
  • No pork, and no shared equipment with a kitchen that handles it
  • Separate service lines where the family observes separation of men and women

Ask them this

Word for word. The answers tell you more than the portfolio does.

  • “Who is your halal meat supplier and can I see the certificate?”
  • “Is any dish or dessert cooked with alcohol?”
  • “Can you serve two separate sections simultaneously without one waiting?”

Who has confirmed they do this

Nobody yet — we are still calling. We speak to around 150 Gujarat wedding vendors a week, and we are now asking each one whether they meet this brief. Only vendors who tell us yes, directly, will appear here.

We could have filled this section by guessing which businesses are Muslim from their names. That would have been quicker and it would have been made up. The list below stays empty until it is real.

Are you a wedding caterer who meets this brief? Tell us and we will list you. No fee, now or ever.

901 businesses ranked by Google rating weighted against review volume — not filtered by community, because that data does not exist. Take the requirements above to any of them.
