What it actually is
A full Maharashtrian-style percussion troupe with dhol, tasha and jhanj. Where four dhol players are an accompaniment, a pathak is the event, and the sound carries several streets.

When it works
- Wide streets or a large open approach — a pathak needs room to form up
- Daytime or early-evening processions, before noise restrictions bite
- You want the baraat itself to be the spectacle rather than the venue
The part nobody else prints
How this goes wrong
Sixty percussionists is genuinely dangerous volume at close range and it will draw a crowd that is not your guest list. Police intimation is not optional at this scale.
Every idea here is easier than telling three hundred people about it.
