What a wedding photographer must get right for a Hindu wedding

Asking the couple to repeat a ritual moment. Within a muhurat window that is not a small request.

The requirements

Specific and checkable. Take this list to any wedding photographer in your city.

  • Know where the pheras happen and where to stand without blocking the priest or the parents
  • Cover the mandap ritual without directing it — the muhurat does not pause
  • Staffed for multi-day, multi-venue coverage

Ask them this

Word for word. The answers tell you more than the portfolio does.

  • “Can you shoot the pheras without a flash in the priest’s eyes?”
  • “How many shooters for a three-day wedding at two venues?”

Who has confirmed they do this

Nobody yet — we are still calling. We speak to around 150 Gujarat wedding vendors a week, and we are now asking each one whether they meet this brief. Only vendors who tell us yes, directly, will appear here.

We could have filled this section by guessing which businesses are Hindu from their names. That would have been quicker and it would have been made up. The list below stays empty until it is real.

Are you a wedding photographer who meets this brief? Tell us and we will list you. No fee, now or ever.
