What a wedding planner must get right for a Hindu wedding
Designing a beautiful timeline and then discovering the muhurat is at dawn.
The requirements
Specific and checkable. Take this list to any wedding planner in your city.
- Build the schedule around the muhurat, which is fixed and non-negotiable, and let everything else move
- Coordinate the pandit’s requirements — samagri, fire safety, timing — well before the day
- Handle a baraat as a street operation: route, permissions, band, horse or car, and traffic
Ask them this
Word for word. The answers tell you more than the portfolio does.
- “What happens to the schedule if the muhurat is at 04:20?”
- “Who handles the baraat route and the police permission?”
Who has confirmed they do this
Nobody yet — we are still calling. We speak to around 150 Gujarat wedding vendors a week, and we are now asking each one whether they meet this brief. Only vendors who tell us yes, directly, will appear here.
We could have filled this section by guessing which businesses are Hindu from their names. That would have been quicker and it would have been made up. The list below stays empty until it is real.
Are you a wedding planner who meets this brief? Tell us and we will list you. No fee, now or ever.
