The live dosa and appam counter

Made on the tawa in front of you, and it holds a queue happily.

What it actually is

A dosa counter with two or three tawas going, plus appam or pesarattu. It is the South Indian equivalent of the jalebi counter — always busy, always worth it.

Indicative cost

₹110–200 per guest

A range for a Gujarat wedding in the 2026 wedding season, not a quote. It moves with guest count, city and how far out you book. Get three.

When it works

  • Morning and breakfast functions, which most multi-day weddings have
  • Mixed guest lists where a South Indian option is genuinely wanted
  • You need one counter that can feed a lot of people steadily

The part nobody else prints

How this goes wrong

One tawa produces roughly 60 dosas an hour. For 300 guests you need three, and caterers will quote one.

Every idea here is easier than telling three hundred people about it.

You can book all of this and still spend the month chasing headcounts. That part is what we do — the invitations, the replies, the rooms, the arrivals, on WhatsApp, with a person making the first call and a person checking every count.
