A live portrait or caricature artist

A favour the guest takes home that was made for them.

What it actually is

An artist doing quick watercolour portraits or caricatures through the reception. Slower than a photo booth and worth more — a guest keeps a drawing of themselves in a way they do not keep a printed strip.

Indicative cost

₹12,000–30,000 for four hours

A range for a Gujarat wedding in the 2026 wedding season, not a quote. It moves with guest count, city and how far out you book. Get three.

When it works

  • Seated dinners and cocktail hours, where people have time
  • Smaller functions — one artist manages roughly 20 portraits in four hours
  • You want a favour that is not a box of dry fruit

The part nobody else prints

How this goes wrong

Throughput is the whole issue. Twenty portraits at a 300-guest wedding means 280 people did not get one, so either book several artists or place it at a smaller function.

Every idea here is easier than telling three hundred people about it.

You can book all of this and still spend the month chasing headcounts. That part is what we do — the invitations, the replies, the rooms, the arrivals, on WhatsApp, with a person making the first call and a person checking every count.
