What it actually is
A separate, decent meal at a set time for photographers, decorators, the band, drivers and the desk staff — not leftovers at midnight. It is in most contracts and it is the clause everybody forgets until the crew is flagging.

The part nobody else prints
How this goes wrong
A hungry photographer at hour eleven takes worse pictures, and a driver who has not eaten since morning is driving your family home. This is not a courtesy line item.
Every idea here is easier than telling three hundred people about it.
